Your Guide to Understanding and Navigating Your Emotions

Emotions are Your Superpower!
You’re on a unique journey, and it’s okay to feel all sorts of emotions. Embrace them, learn from them, and use these strategies to help you navigate the exciting world of your feelings. You’ve got this, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!

Emotion Tracking
Your Daily Emotion Diary

Ever felt like your emotions are all over the place? Welcome to the club! Teen girls experience a wide range of emotions every day, and it can be a bit like a whirlwind. That’s why we recommend using a daily emotion tracker. It’s like a diary for your feelings! Throughout the day, jot down how you’re feeling and why. This will help you keep tabs on your emotions and see if there are any patterns. Sometimes, it’s a moment-to-moment journey, and that’s perfectly okay.

Emotion Regulation
The Power to Control Your Feelings

Emotion regulation is your superpower! It’s all about influencing the emotions you have and how you express them. There are two types of strategies: internal (inside your mind or body) and external (things you do or your behavior). As a teen girl, you’ve got a whole toolbox at your disposal. From processing your thoughts and questioning yourself to practicing positive self-talk, writing in a journal, deep breathing, having a good cry, or even expressing yourself through art – these are all ways to manage your emotions. The key is finding what works best for you!

Daily Thought Check-Ins
The Magic of Your Mind

Your thoughts are like the steering wheel of your emotions. We’ve found that understanding your thinking-feeling-doing combination is the secret to unlocking your emotions. Let’s break it down with an example: Imagine waking up one day, and you’re like, “I want to be surrounded by other people,” but on another day, it’s more like, “I don’t want to be bothered.” That’s your mind at work! Try doing daily thought check-ins, especially in the morning. Take a moment to reflect on what you’re thinking, how you’re feeling, and what you want to do. Your thoughts have the power to shape your emotions and actions each day.
